This policy explains what Direct Solar LLC, doing business as Direct Solar Pros, collects when you use directsolarpro.com or contact us, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the phone, text, and email communications that follow from it.

Who we are

Direct Solar LLC dba Direct Solar Pros is a residential solar sales and consultation company serving homeowners in Illinois. We review your home and electricity usage, explain system and financing options, and coordinate projects with licensed installation partners and Illinois Shines Approved Vendors. We are the party responsible for the information described here.

Information you give us

We collect what you enter into forms on this site and what you tell us during a call or a text exchange. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Your home or property address and ZIP code.
• Your electric utility, average monthly electric bill range, and details about your roof, usage, and timeline.
• Anything you type into a message or notes field.
• For career applications, your role interest and any resume or background information you submit.
• Whether you checked the box consenting to be contacted, along with the date and time and the exact wording you agreed to.

We also receive this information when you submit a lead form inside Facebook or Instagram. In that case the form is hosted by Meta and prefilled from your Meta account, and the answers are passed to us.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one records technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the marketing parameters in the link you arrived through. We use the following services to do that:

• Google Analytics for aggregate traffic and page performance.
• Vercel Analytics for page speed and visit counts.
• Microsoft Clarity for usability analysis. Clarity can record how you scroll, move, and click on a page, which produces a session replay.
• Meta Pixel to measure advertising results. The pixel is configured with Meta's Automatic Advanced Matching, which means that when you submit a form, contact details such as your email address, phone number, name, and city, state, and ZIP are converted into a scrambled, irreversible value in your browser and sent to Meta so it can match the result to an ad. We do not send Meta your information in readable form.

These services set cookies or similar identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a do-not-track setting. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to those signals, this site does not currently respond to them.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request and prepare a solar estimate for your property.
• To contact you by phone, text, or email about that request and to schedule a consultation.
• To determine whether your home is a candidate for solar and for programs such as Illinois Shines.
• To coordinate your project with an installation partner or Approved Vendor if you move forward.
• To improve the website, measure advertising, and understand which pages are useful.
• To keep records we are required to keep, including records of the consent you gave.

Calls and automated or AI voice

If you provide your phone number and agree to be contacted, we may call you about your estimate. Those calls may be placed using automated dialing technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice, including an AI voice assistant, which is disclosed on the form at the time you consent. Consent to receive these calls is not a condition of purchasing anything. Calls may be recorded for quality and training, and you will be told at the start of a call when it is being recorded.

You can ask us to stop calling at any time, during a call or by contacting us at the address below, and we will honor that request.

Text messaging

If you opt in, we may send you text messages about your estimate, your appointment, and related follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Full details are in our SMS policy.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers who operate our business on our behalf, including our customer relationship management platform, email and text message delivery providers, website hosting, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide that service to us.
• Installation partners and Approved Vendors when you ask us to move a project forward, so the work can be designed, permitted, and installed and so a program application such as Illinois Shines can be submitted.
• Advertising platforms in the scrambled, irreversible form described above, for measuring and improving advertising.
• Legal and safety reasons, when we are required to by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
• A business transfer, if the company or its assets are acquired, in which case your information would move with the business and remain subject to this policy.

Your choices

• Texts. Reply STOP to any message.
• Email. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.
• Calls. Tell us during a call, or contact us using the details below.
• Access, correction, and deletion. Email us and we will provide, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to keep.

You may exercise any of these choices without being charged and without losing access to anything you are otherwise entitled to.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request, serve you as a customer, and meet legal and program recordkeeping obligations. Records of consent to be contacted are kept for at least five years so we can demonstrate the consent you gave. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to this website and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Pages on this site may link to other websites, including utility and state program pages. We do not control those sites and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, the date at the top changes. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on this page.
